I am a family law attorney, which means that my practice is devoted to issues of divorce, parentage, custody, support, restraining orders, prenuptial agreements and postnuptial agreements. I have been an attorney for more than 11 years, with the last 6 years devoted to family law. My goal in each case is to ensure that my client knows that he or she has an ally and an advocate who will make navigating the process from beginning to end easier and less frightening. I focus not only on my client’s legal needs and interests, but on their emotional needs as well. Family law is an extremely emotional area of the law, with clients who often need more than just a good legal strategy.
In addition to working in the state’s court system, I also work with Jewish Rabbinic courts - the beit din - both to ensure that divorcing couples have a kosher Jewish divorce - the get - and to address other family law issues through arbitration. When a Jewish couple gets divorced, having a proper Jewish divorce is vitally important if either party intends to re-marry and have children with the new spouse.
I grew up in Cambridge, Massachusetts and went to Smith College. I later moved to Los Angeles, and graduated from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles. More information about my background can be found in my member listing on the LA Jewish Chamber of Commerce
website.
Joining the LA Jewish Chamber of Commerce has allowed me to meet and network with professionals from a wide variety of industries and practice areas. The Chamber membership is a lively and vibrant group of motivated and friendly people, and the Chamber offers a broad range of networking opportunities with both large and small groups.
