Needle Points West
Joanne Bronson is the owner of Needlepoints West, the only independent needlework store in Los Angeles that carries both knitting and needlepoint supplies.
A West Los Angeles native, Joanne joined the LA Jewish Chamber to network with other Jewish business owners and continues to come to events because she enjoys the Chamber’s programs.
Joanne has owned Needlepoints West since 2004, and the store, a Westchester fixture, has been open since 1972. Joanne especially loves that she can share needle crafts with second and sometimes third generation customers. “There’s always a story behind the piece,” Joanne says. “It’s being made for someone, for a special occasion, and I frequently finish the piece, turning it into a pillow, tallis bag, yarmulke or other family keepsake.”
Needlepoints West hosts classes in knitting, crochet and needlepoint for all levels, from beginning to advanced. Joanne is proud that her store provides a warm, friendly environment for crafters.
